Exercise and Welfare
The exercise and welfare of your dog is our priority.
Exercise
All our dogs are given one-to-one half mile (approx) walks twice a daily in all weathers. We have a 20 acre field for the dogs who can go off lead, with the owner’s permission, for a run or a ball play, whichever they prefer. We also have outdoor runs which our dogs are let out in at least 3 times a day, weather permitting. We do not socialise dogs from different households face to face but they do have time to interact with other dogs in our outdoor runs. We endeavour to keep your dogs as clean as possible but being in the countryside this isn’t always possible, especially during the winter months. We do offer a bath and brush service.
Vaccinations
All dogs must be fully vaccinated including the Kennel Cough vaccination to board with us, this must be done at least 7 days before your dog is due to stay. We require their vaccination card for the duration of there stay, please ensure that you bring it with you when you drop your dog off and collect it on pick up. We cannot accept your dog without the vaccination record.
Special Needs
Extra care and attention is provided for dogs with special needs by arrangement, such as; puppies, elderly dogs, dogs on medication, disabled dogs, nervous dogs and dogs with high activity levels. All dogs in these categories will receive special care and attention and have extra time allocated to them to ensure all specific needs are met.
Your dog’s medication and other specific requirements are carefully logged upon booking to enable is to make your dogs stay with us pleasurable. Please make sure any medication your dog needs comes in the box it came in, with clear instructions.
Diet
We stock a plain dry feed and tins of loaf meat however we encourage everyone to bring your dogs usual food for the duration of their stay. If your dog is a fussy eater or has a sensitive tummy then we insist on you bringing their food along with them.
Bedding
We encourage you to bring your dog’s usual bedding with their own familiar scent to help with the settling-in process, although clean bedding can be provided. Favourite toys are also welcome.
Hygiene
Hygiene and cleanliness are a priority and no strong chemicals are used thus lessening the chance of upsetting our guests. The en-suite area of the kennel area is cleaned daily and fresh water is given.
Kennel Accommodation
We have different-sized kennels to suit dog varieties. All of our kennels feature heated floors for the colder months, and air conditioning for the warmer months. They have; natural light, sound insulation to reduce noise disturbance and a ventilation system to provide fresh air at all times.
The security of your dogs is very important to us, with this in mind our kennels have a double-locking system, this means your dogs cannot open its door from the inside.
Grooming
We no-longer offer grooming services but we can offer a bath and brush service. This is charged at £20 for small dogs and £25 for medium/large. They will be bathed on the day of collection ready for the arranged time.
